Extended Abstract Submission is only open to authors whose abstracts have been accepted in the first phase. New submissions are not permitted at this stage.

Abstracts  accepted for PLEA 2026 will be presented in three formats:

​

• Full paper or extended abstracts  + regular oral presentation (13-15 minutes)

• Full paper or extended abstracts  + short oral presentation  and discussion  (6-7 minutes) 

• Full paper or extended abstract    + poster

Extended abstracts will be invited to participate with full papers for publication in indexed journals. All  extended abstracts will be published in the official conference proceedings.

Full papers will be considered for publication in indexed journals associated with the conference or in the Kerwá Institutional Repository of the University of Costa Rica, where each accepted paper will receive an individual DOI. The publication route will be determined based on the evaluation and recommendation of the Scientific Committee.
